Obligated to present, prove, & renew; no pride, no resentment, no false modesty.
3. Dealt: The Holy Spirit decides and deals to us what is best; trust God’s wisdom and goodness in
His spiritual “presents” to us (v. 3, 6).
4. Dependence of the Whole body: Selflessly build unity; mutual benefit is vital.
5. Diversity: diversity builds health and spiritual growth in us and others (v. 4-5).
6. Description (vs. 6-8; I Cor. 12:4-6; Eph. 4:11-13).
Speaking gifts: evangelism, Pastor, teach, exhort, word of wisdom, knowledge
Serving gifts: helps, serve, deacon, hospitality, give, rule, mercy, faith, discern
Signifying gifts: miracles, healing, languages, interpretation, prophesy, apostles
7. Doing Service (vs. 6-11). Get busy serving, then you will show giftedness in areas.
Do what God calls all of us, to learn what God wants you to do more.
8. Development (vs. 6-8; I Tim. 4:14-15).
9. Delight (v. 3, 10-15) Col 3:15; Phil. 4:6-9.
10. Desire to Benefit from the Best Gifts. Natural inclination can help determine your gift.
Individual desire: the “best” for you is using what God has given you. I Cor. 12:11, 31; 14:1
Humble desire: It is best to put character above gifts. I Cor. 13:13; I Tim. 3:1
Collective desire: Desire that the church have the most of what is most needed in its time &
place.
Dependent desire: I want only what God wants to give me.
Obedient desire: I’ll do all that is commanded even if I am not “gifted” at it.
The best ones are the ones commanded of all believers.
