             Victory Baptist Church is an independent fellowship of believers who are partnering together to:

1. Bring glory to God in Christ-centered praise and preaching

2. Present the gospel that Christ died, was buried, and rose again. As one repents, trusting in Christ as Savior, he receives Him and everlasting life.

3. Support missionaries and start new churches.

4. Worship God with conservative “psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.”

5. Grow in unity based on Christianity’s foundational doctrines, principles, and promises – taught by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.

      Our Pastors

Pastor John Conover - Senior Pastor

Pastor Conover has been at Victory since 2005.  He graduated in 1985 with his B.A. in Bible and in 2000 with his Master of Ministries. He and his wife, Janet, have five children – Jon, Josh, Abby, Tori, and Olivia.

Pastor Kevin Focht - Youth Director

Pastor Kevin is a local of Berks County.  He was born and raised in the Reading area, and he graduated from Wilson High School in 2012.  Following graduation, Pastor Kevin left for Norwich University-The Senior Military College of Vermont with aspirations of pursuing a career as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps.  It was in 2012-2013, during his freshman year of college, that the Lord gripped his heart and called Kevin to a life of ministry.  Kevin has been serving as a leader in youth ministry ever since, and he is passionate about training up the next generation of Christ followers.  Following graduation from Norwich University in 2016, Kevin pursued his Masters in Divinity:  Christian Leadership and Church Ministry from Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary, graduating in 2018.  Burdened by the brokenness in the Reading area, Kevin felt called to move back to his hometown in December 2018, and he officially became the Victory Baptist Youth Director on January 1st, 2020.  Pastor Kevin is excited about reaching his home community with the gospel of Jesus Christ!
