Who We Are
At Victory Baptist Church, we are an independent fellowship of believers joined together in faith, worship, and community. Our heart as a church family is centered on honoring God, living out His Truth, and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ with our local community and around the world.
Our Core Purpose & Mission
Glorify God
Bringing honor to Him through Christ-centered praise and Preaching.
Share the Gospel
Proclaiming the good news that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again. As one repents and trust in Christ as savior, he/she receives Him and everlasting life.
Support Local & Global Missions
Plant new churches and support missionaries as they share the Gospel near and far.
Grow in Unity
Build a strong, united faith grounded in Christianity's foundational doctrines, principles,
and promises - taught through the Holy Spirit and the Word of God

What We Believe
Below is a brief summary of our core beliefs.

-
The Scriptures: The Bible (Old and New Testaments) is the verbally inspired, inerrant Word of God in its original writings, serving as the supreme and final authority for all faith and conduct.
-
The Triune God: God exists eternally as one God in three co-equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, perfect in holiness.
-
The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit convicts the world, regenerates, sanctifies, and comforts believers, taking up permanent residence in them at salvation to glorify Jesus Christ.
-
Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, born of the virgin Mary, sinless, and fully God and fully man.
-
Creation: God created all things in six literal, 24-hour days, resting on the seventh.
-
The Fall of Man & Depravity: Humanity was created in God's image but fell through sin, incurring physical and spiritual separation from God. All people are born with a sinful nature, choose to sin, and are under God’s just condemnation to a literal Hell without excuse.
-
Substitutionary Atonement: Jesus died as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice for human sins, justifying all who believe in Him through His shed blood as a once-for-all sacrifice.
-
Resurrection & Intercession: Christ arose bodily from the grave, ascended into Heaven, and ministers as High Priest and Advocate for believers.
-
The Second Coming & Kingdom: The return of Jesus Christ will be personal, visible, bodily, imminent, pre-tribulation, followed by His literal millennial reign on earth.
-
Eternal Security & Salvation: Anyone who receives Christ by faith is born again of the Spirit, becomes a child of God, and is eternally secure.
-
Satan: Satan is a literal, personal being, the initiator of man's fall, ruler of this world, and will be judged and eternally punished.
-
Resurrection of the Dead & Final Judgment: All people will experience a bodily resurrection—believers to eternal life in Heaven, and unbelievers to final judgment and everlasting punishment in a literal Hell/Lake of Fire.
-
Church Ordinances: The local church observes two non-saving ordinances of obedience: Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
-
Believer's Baptism: Baptism is the single immersion of a believer in water, picturing Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. It carries no saving power and is reserved only for those old enough to exercise personal faith in Christ.
-
The Lord's Supper: The Lord's Supper is a symbolic memorial of Christ’s death, possessing no saving or sacramental power. It is open to saved believers walking in obedient fellowship.
-
The Local Church: The church is an independent, self-governing, democratic local assembly of baptized believers organized for worship, fellowship, and evangelism, with Christ as its Head.
-
Church Leadership & Gender Roles: The two biblical church offices are Pastors (elders/bishops) and Deacons. These offices are biblically reserved for men only.
-
Biblical Separation: Believers are called to live a separated life in three distinct areas:
a. Moral Separation: Pursuing holiness according to God's standard.
b. Personal Separation: Exercising Christian liberty in non-essential matters of personal conviction without causing stumbling.
c. Ecclesiastical Separation: Maintaining purity from apostasy and ecumenical movements by separating from unbiblical church councils, interdenominationalism, and cooperative efforts with non-like-minded groups.
-
Sign Gifts / Charismatic Movement: Modern-day sign gift movements (such as modern "tongues" and "healing" practices) are unscriptural and contrary to sound doctrine.
